Guitarist Barry Galbraith played with Babe Russin, Art Tatum, Red Norvo, Hal McIntyre and Teddy Powell after moving to New York from Vermont in the early '40s. He was in Claude Thornhill's band from 1941 to 1942, and again from 1946 to 1949 following army service.
