Gilles Peterson was born in Switzerland and grew up in South London, speaking French to his French/Swiss parents at home and English at school. Gilles got lost in early jazz before the CD revolution and says the one thing he's been blessed with is "Young looks" - he was voted One Of The Most Eligible Bachelors of Company Magazine in 1995.
