A judge has ruled that tax plagued actor Wesley Snipes is allowed to leave the country in order to work on two films while his attorneys continue to appeal his tax fraud convictions.
Despite objections from prosecutors who felt the actor should not be granted permission to travel abroad because he is a flight risk, Snipes is approved to head to London to work on the post-production of Gallowwalker. He is also allowed to go Bangkok, Thailand to shoot Chasing the Dragon. The actor was convicted in February of three counts of willfully failing to file income tax returns. He was sentenced to three years in prison, which he is currently appealing.
