Jukebox Hits of 1966, Vol. 2 rounds up 27 classic songs from a pleasingly wide variety of styles including soul, AM pop, British Invasion, folk-rock, and bubblegum. It sounds like a great radio station, mixing styles, moods, and sounds without missing a beat and unafraid to play songs like Tommy Roe's "Hooray for Hazel" or Gene Pitney's "Backstage (I'm Lonely)" that weren't obvious choices. Any disc that finds room for James & Bobby Purify's "I'm Your Puppet," Sandy Posey's "Born a Woman," Lee Dorsey's "Holy Cow," and the Toys' "Attack" has its heart and mind in the right place and will satisfy the needs both of boomers looking for a nostalgic trip and newcomers to the era looking for an entry point into some very fine music. ~ Tim Sendra, All Music Guide
