    Medalist's double-disc, 26-track collection Groovy 60's has many familiar hits, but instead of putting together '60s favorites with the intention of capturing a hippie vibe, the idea behind this compilation is to conjure something frothy, swinging, and fun. So, there is a lot of sunshine pop, lots of swinging London, some San Franciscan psych-pop, and a little easy listening, all tied together by a sense of fun and a strong sense of melody. Yes, a lot of this is always played on oldies radio, but it holds together very well as a compilation, and it's a lot of fun. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
