This lighthearted K-Tel release collects ten novelty hits of old together on one wacky disc. Kicking off with the rollicking saxophone of the Coasters' "Yakety Yak," Tacky Tunes hams its way through Sha Na Na's "Witchdoctor," the Bermudas' "Short Shorts," and Jimmy Gilmer's beatnik fantasy, "Sugar Shack," among others. It's an enjoyable set that's sure to plug a few holes in your singles collection. ~ Johnny Loftus, All Music Guide
