All Music Guide Review

Terry Sylvester's second solo album is similar to his first, with one major difference: Seemingly as a concession to that earlier album's major weakness, I Believe has a few tougher, faster-tempo numbers. The album breaks up its romantic ballads (all of them quite beautiful, and mostly well-sung) with a much better-than-decent disco number ("In Motion") and one good mid-tempo rocker, "Atlantis," that recalls Elton John's early-'70s progressive period. I Believe is a slightly more bracing album than Terry Sylvester, though not a significantly better one, but is a closer match, in terms of appeal, to any of the records of the Hollies from this period. ~ Bruce Eder, All Music Guide
