All Music Guide Review

Following the release of his self-titled debut disc, Michael Bublé capped off 2003 by issuing an EP of snow-covered songs that acted as a holiday postscript to his previous recordings. Although Let It Snow doesn't shed any new light on these five Christmas chestnuts, the combination of Bublé's Sinatra-lite croon and pretty arrangements creates a lovely holiday ambience that will be a cozy addition to any winter evening. The most successful song in the set is producer David Foster's own "Grown-Up Christmas List," which is slowly becoming a holiday favorite thanks to its classic standard sound and hopeful message. Bublé's subtle version, with its delicate orchestral accompaniment, allows the song's pretty melody to shine through like a beloved ornament on the tree. The remaining tracks offer up basic ballads like "White Christmas," with only the opening title track providing a mildly upbeat flavor. Until Michael Bublé can swing his way through a full meal of holiday songs, Let It Snow offers a few tasty appetizers for the yuletide days. ~ Aaron Latham, All Music Guide
