To call a Hollies collection 20 Great Love Songs is redundant, as the group specialized in the genre. FM classics like "Air That I Breathe," "Bust Stop," and "Carrie Anne" are without a doubt "great" love songs, so why does Disky's 20-track compilation of amorous tidings from one of the rock's most celebrated groups play more like a straight-up greatest-hits than a lovelorn overview? Because with the exception of "Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress," "King Midas in Reverse," and "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother," everything that a Hollies fan could want is here.
