    All Music Guide Review

Rockin' 70's [Coyote] is a ten-track glimpse of the rock scene of the '70s as could be heard on a typical AOR station with a couple of pop ringers like Linda Ronstadt's "Living in the U.S.A." and Loggins & Messina's "Your Mama Can't Dance" thrown in to keep things from getting too wild. The best tracks, like the Guess Who's "American Woman," Argent's "Hold Your Head Up," and Brownsville Station's "Smokin' in the Boy's Room," are true rock classics. The rest just about reach that level with the Edgar Winter Group's "Frankenstein" and Bad Company's "Movin' On" being the cream of the crop. The short playing time means this is not a comprehensive look at the era; it is more like a decent block of radio programming. ~ Tim Sendra, All Music Guide
