    All Music Guide Review

This disc collects a short list of tunes from high-energy Detroit rock & roll bands from the late 1960s, right on up to the late '90s. Kicking off with the original Untied Sound '68 recording of "Looking At You" by the MC-5, this collection hits high gear with the inclusion of "Guitar Army" by the Rationals, a spirited politically-fueled take of Earl King's "Come On" and a previously unreleased "Electrophonic Tonic" from Sonic's Rendezvous Band. The ghost of Iggy and the Stooges also hovers over '80s tracks like "Pusherman of Love" by Bootsey X and the Lovemasters and "I'm a Ramrod" by the Ramrods. Issued on both vinyl and compact disc, the CD version features extra tracks. ~ Cub Koda, All Music Guide
