EMI-Capitol Special Markets' Sports Rock attempts to replicate the sound and success of Tommy Boy's wildly popular Jock Jams series, and it does -- it has the same combination of high energy hip-hop, oldies, dance-pop and arena rock that makes Jock Jams entertaining. If it doesn't quite hit the same heights of Jock Jams, it may be because the label didn't want to license such staples as "Rock & Roll, Pt. 2" and "We Will Rock You, " but the succession of "U Can't Touch This, " "Hit Me with Your Best Shot, " "Ballroom Blitz, " "Wipeout, " "Move This, " "The Stroke" and "Freeze-Frame" will certainly make you think that you are in an arena.
