Gordon contains re-recordings of key tracks from their Indy cassette that outsold many a "big star" major-label release in Canada, and that cemented BNL's witty, gosh-darn reputation: "Brian Wilson," "If I Had A Million Dollars," and "Be My Yoko Ono." New numbers "Box Set" -- poking fun at music industry excess -- and "New Kid (On The Block)" -- poking fun at different music industry excess -- carry on the tradition. But ... surprise surprise ... the group has decided it doesn't want to be typecast as a cute, cuddly, novelty-tune act. Gordon also contains several serious moments, notably "The Flag"'s metaphor for abusive relationships, and the poignant, "it's tough growing up in a complicated world" ballad "What A Good Boy."
