Classic Rock, Vol. 3 is a brief and unfocused, but nevertheless entertaining, collection of arena-rock, blues-rock and new wave. The presence of Foghat's lumbering "Boogie Motel" on this collection is fairly incongruous, but the disc is nevertheless entertaining, containing straight-ahead blues-rock and roots-rock including: NRBQ's "It's a Wild Weekend," the Fabulous Thunderbirds' "Tuff Enuff," Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Pride and Joy," Jeff Healey's "See the Light"; and new wave Stray Cats' "Rock This Town," the Romantics' "What I Like About You," the Blasters' "American Music, and "Los Lobos' "Shakin' Shakin' Shakes." ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music Guide
